Attorney

Solomon A. Cheifer, Esq. is a native Californian. Born near Santa Cruz, but ultimately settling in the Inland Empire, he graduated from California Baptist University (B.A./B.S., magna cum laude). He worked as a pharmaceutical chemist for several years before attending law school. Solomon received a full-tution merit scholarship for every academic year of his law studies.

In 2008, he graduated from the University of La Verne College of Law in the top 10% of his class (J.D., magna cum laude). Solomon has competed both locally and nationally in moot court competitions, winning awards in the categories of Best Legal Brief, Best Moot Court Team, and Best Oralist. He is an alumni member of his school's Law Review, having served both as a Staff Editor and also having been published in the Journal of Juvenile Law. He started the Law Office of Solomon A. Cheifer immediately upon taking his oath as an attorney.

Solomon has effectively represented clients in an extraordinarily diverse spectrum of matters. He has drafted numerous Living Trusts and Wills in order to avoid probate for his clients' heirs and ensure that his clients' assets are distributed properly at the time of their death.

Solomon also helps those who can't afford to pay their bills get a fresh start by use of the United States Bankruptcy Code under Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. In addition, he has litigated bankruptcy matters against the United States Department of Justice and against objecting creditors.

He has represented clients in all aspects of probate, including guardianships, conservatorships, and estate proceedings. He has also represented clients in adoption matters.

He has litigated complex family law matters, as well as many civil litigation matters including cases involving negligence (including personal injury), fraud, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, and real estate disputes.

Solomon has represented criminal clients in a wide array of matters, including DUI, theft, embezzlement, burglary, robbery, drug crimes, domestic violence, and white collar crimes.

Solomon is admitted to the California Bar as well as the Central, Southern, and Eastern Districts of California. He is a member of the Riverside Bar Association as well as the Inland Empire Bankruptcy Forum. He practices bankruptcy, civil litigation, estate planning, probate, family law, and criminal defense.
